People with bipolar often tend to lose their temper due to irritation. They shout and fight with others as a result of this irritation. They even realise they were going to shout. But, unfortunately they can not control themselves.

Those who live with and deal with people with bipolar, should understand this situation. Love and kindess of other would help them overcome a lot of symptoms. Even though there are medications, still atmosphere should be in their favour.

Also, balance of medications is very critical. Medications given to depression tend to induce mania and medications given to mania tend to cause depression. So, unlike depression , the bipolar is tough to be treated.

Person with bipolar has to fight his own fear and irritation. Person with condition often behaves unusually in defence due to his or her fear. It is very hard for the person to overcome such fears. He or she sometimes understands that there is no need for fear but finds it difficult to overcome such fears. That's is the characteristic of the condition. Even if they try to erase those fear from the memory, it w ill not go easily.

For example, some of them fears as if they were going to lose consiousness. When the person with the condition gets this fear, it is very hard for him to convince himself or get convinced otherwise. This fear aggreavates other symptoms of the conditions as well.

Living with Bipolar disorder is difficult for the person with the condition and for the family living with such individual as well. For the family living with such individual it is a stressful problem to witness their loved ones suffer from episodes of mania and depression.

Reckless spending, depression, hypersexuality, alcohol and drug abuse, hullucinations are among many that have potential to upset the family peace and intergrity. The family members have to learn how to cope with the situation. This will ease the sufferings of the person with the disorder as well.

It is the family's duty to make sure that the individual takes his or her medications. Family's support and love are more effective than the medications. Isolating such individual will further damage the condition.

First of all, we must accept the fact that psychiatric conditions are like other medical conditions such as cold, fever, blood pressure, cancer etc. The accpetance level for psychiatric conditions are still very poor in the society. This situation should improve and more your acceptance level is, it would be easier for those with the condition to live among you.

Bipolar is a psychiatric condition where people experience mood swings. The reason it is called Bipolar is because it is a condition where the mood swings take place between two extremes called mania and depression.

During manic episodes, people tend to have elevated level of energy, and during depressive episodes people tend to have low energy level. There are different categories of Bipolar based on the episodes.
There are so many symptoms during each episodes.

People living with Bipolar have so many problems in their day to day life. First of all interacting with other people is critical. Mood swings do not allow the affected people to maintain a healthy relationaship with others unless the others have an understanding. If others do not have a sound knowledge about the condition , they will not be able tolerate. Even if they have knowledge, the question is how far they can and want to be patient.

Secondly, this affect a person's ability to work, especially work that warrants interaction with people on a regular basis. No one is going to tolerate mood swings in a working place. So, what option a person with this condition left with?
